Once again another post, like i have said i am new to this so im assuming me worrying is normal :p anyway I have had my panther for 3 days now we had gotten him crickets that were too big and he wouldnt eat them so we bumped down to a 1/4" size i saw him eat one cricket but now he just wont seem to eat any! I dont know if its because hes still adapting to the cage or something im just unaware of. I am also unsure if he is going to the bathroom.

*EDIT* Is the basking lamp to close to him?
Id also like to know whether you guys think its a male or female, the breeder i had gotten him from assured me it was a male.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :D

I completely understand your worries, I was in your boat about a week ago. I brought my 3 month old veiled home and he ate 7 1/4" crickets almost immediately. Then for 4 days, he ate absolutely nothing. Everyone told me he was just adapting to his new home, but I was SO worried! He was a bit skinny when we got him and even skinnier by the time he did eat. Didn't poop for almost a week after I got him too  I guess nothing in, nothing out :D

Anyhow, he's eating well now, and a couple of days after he started eating, he had a HUGE poop! I suggest trying (and I know how hard it is) not to worry (assuming everything in your enclosure is OK) for the next few days.

Looking at the photos, you guy is way smaller than mine was. I wonder if 1/4 crickets are too big? Maybe try 1/8.

Its good to know im not the only one with worries :p at this point im just a little scared its a female just by reading up on a bunch of threads and thats what i tried to avoid considering im scared to have to deal with it laying eggs.

Hi there. With veiled boys they have a spur on their back feet where you imagine where his heel would be. It's just a small protrusion. Not sure if you would see it in a very young Cham. If you could post a pic of that area someone more knowledgable may be able to tell.:)
