Neosporin for lost nails?

I have been researching and am getting mixed info.... Should I dab some neosporin on the toe where my cham lost his nails to prevent infection??? I have added chicken wire to the sides of the inside of cage but still want to make sure I handle the lost nails properly... TIA.

It wouldn't cause any issues, just don't get any with pain medication. Just keep on a look out in case his toes get infected anyway
