Alright. Why lower it as she gets older?Just as another tid bit of info. Since she is a female, you can drop that basking temp to 82-86 degrees. Even as she gets older, that temp will suffice.
Ahh I see. Makes sense. Got ya.Not so much lowering the temp as keeping it in the low to mid 80's. To simplify, the higher the temps the more eggs she will produce. Keeping the temps low will keep her clutch sizes much smaller, which in turn will extend her life.
Yes I follow her on here. I'll definitely check it out! Thanks much. I'm always down to learn more and better my chams health. I'm hopefully starting vet school with in the next 6 months so I'm a huge geek for all of this! One of the members here, jannb, has a blog about veiled care. You can access it through her profile page. If you have any questions along the way it can be a great reference!
Thanks! First step is finding an affordable and local program with in the state of Indiana. If you or anyone actually has any info that'd be awesome. I have been looking into a few schools so far and haven't seen anything outstanding. That's awesome! I hope you do great in your school.
I would like to some day be a veterinarian. Not a vet technician. Are you going to school to be a Vet Tech?
Yes! I have heard tho that the schools can be very particular to whom they take. Any truth to that?Gotcha, so you're trying to find a good school for your undergraduate degree to prepare you for Veterinarian School. I'm guessing you are going to major in Biomedical Sciences or something of the like. Indiana University Bloomington has a good program for Medical Sciences. Just a suggestion.
