Have you read this? http://raisingkittytheveiledchameleon.blogspot.com/

This blog give you allot of good info.

Welcome to the forms and do you have a male or female veiled? The males have spurs on the back heels.

You can feed a variety of feeders. At that age that can eat allot....15 to 20 feeders a day. Try some silkworm, hornworns, superworms and dubia to go along with those crickets, all the appropriate size, no wider than the space between his eyes.

You need to get three supplements to dust the feeders. Plain calcium at just about every feeding since he's young (go to everyother day when he gets about 10 months old) You need calcium with D3 to use twice a month and a multi vitamin such as Rec-Cal Hertivite to use once a month. I buy all these at http://lllreptile.com/store/catalog/reptile-supplies/vitamins-medicines-and-cage-cleaners/

I buy a premixed gutload you can buy it here under the classified section https://www.chameleonforums.com/gutload-sale-26342/
I also use fresh vegtables such as kale, collard greens, romain and carrots.

Best of luck and you can find some great info on here.

If the size of the feeder is can fit between the chams eyes it's fine. You should be dusting the feeders now. Everyone has different schedules for dusting but you will need the following 3 supplements (Rep-Cal Calcium with D3, Rep-Cal Calcium WITHOUT D3 and Rep-Cal Herptivite Multivitamin) Search the forums for schedules there is a ton out there. Safe plants for a cham can be found here https://www.chameleonforums.com/plants/ the most popular ones are Ficus & Schefflera.

As far as gutload for your crickets contact https://www.chameleonforums.com/members/ssimsswiss/ he sells cricket crack and is a great gutload.

With a 5 month old, I'd feed him 8-12 small to medium sized crickets, and I'd dust every other day or two.

Then I need to know when I need to by larger crickets and dust and feed less around what age
I'd start buying large ones at about 6 or 7 months old. It really just depends on how quickly he grows.

I gutload my crickets with romaine, dandelion greens, carrots, potatoes, and arugula. All of these you can buy organically at your local grocery store.

**I'm judging the feeding amounts based off of my female chams.
