im gonna be gone for a while tomorrow from 9am to 8-10pmish. this was entirely unexpected (christmas suprise from parents) and i dont know what im going to do:confused: i dont have the time to go get a timer or an automatic mister, but i do have a dripper setup. will this be enough for that amount of time and if i dont make it home on time how bad will the lighting affect him?

also could i maybe put some paper towels along the bottom of the cage to keep the humidity up? it would just be for this one day. i havnt had a chance to go and grab a live plant but i do have some at home that i think would be safe for him in a pot that dosnt get fertilizers or insecticides. impatiens walleriana i think.
again i need help asap

I'd just give him a heavy misting with a spray bottle and turn on your dripper. Your Cham will be fine, they get next day shipped in a box without misting all the time. :)

that plant with the pink flower is a Periwinkle. I am not sure if they are chameleon safe so be careful as the veilds tend to eat foilage and flowers. I would go with the Hibiscus if you are looking for color. They are 100% chameleon safe but you will need a grow light for that or any other flowering plant as they do not do well with just the standard uvb lights we use..

Not having your lighting "perfect" for one day or even a few is not going to do any long term harm to your cham. Neither is the inability to mist for a day. Veileds especially seem to be more tolerant of fluctuating and even temporarily low humidity.

Don't stress yourself out over one day. Your cham will be just fine. In fact, I'll bet he's in for a great life with you as his owner. If you're worrying that much over him, I know you'll do your best to ensure he has the best care possible. Stay on this forum and ask questions :) The people on here are great at providing the knowledge and support we all need from time to time. Good luck!
