hey guys.
I need a bit of help.
I live around West Covina (East LA).
Unfortunately, a new landlord for my house (i rent a room) is reptile unfriendly and basically i got kicked out because of my chameleon.

I need to rent a room or house... but i found it increasingly difficult since many are biased toward this issue.

Is there any tips in approaching this matter?

or maybe you know anybody that lives nearby that know somebody or someone that are thinking of renting their house that won't be prejudice against chameleon? (maybe send me a PM)
I need 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom.
I can find house mate if i have to.

Thanks guys.
I don't know if putting this is in the forum is appropriate but everything happened so sudden and I really want to move out ASAP.
I don't want to deal with this landlord.
That;s why i am thinking of renting a small house (but most of them freaks when they know that i own a reptile as a pet. I really don;t want to be apart with my chameleon :().

I live in Simi Valley... We might possible have a room opening up in our 4bdr 3 bth house... And you can rest assured herps are not an issue. I rent here too from my Buddy who owns, and lives here. I am not positive if it is opening up yet but I will let you know. I was going to say in this situation it is always to be be as up front and honest as you can.... Most people should realize a cham does not take a toll on a place the way a cat or dog does. I would compose something along the lines of what you put here and post it on Craigslist... Stress how nice you keep the setup and how it is more of a "piece of Decor"than an actual "Pet"... A piece of Decor that requires a lot of attention but...;) Hope everything works out for you! Best of Luck!

I thought of another great tactic if you are having trouble with a landlord... So that they can see how serious you are about them offer some kind of deposit to keep them, or maybe even an extra monthly rate. When I brought all the herps to my place I took it apon myself to offer an extra $20 a month on top of my share for the electricity. This brings everyone elses bill down a little, and they can never complain about the electricity I use. I cover all my angles from the beggining so that they have nothing to complain about... I even went and bought roach and cricket traps and placed them in each room of the house telling them... "This is just a precaution so that JUST IN CASE a bug ever does get loose, we don't have to worry about them taking over the house." I have had no problems with them yet.
