I just got an email back from them thanking me for correcting the ID and saying that it made more sense considering what they cost them. I think its just a simple case of a dealer not being familiar with chameleons and taking the word of whomever sold them to him.

Benny - It would be nice if namaquensis accidentally got sent over as gracilis once in a while, wouldn't it?

That's as probably as some guys in Cameroon are sending me a big group of eisentrauti instead of quadricornis

This has happened to a couple people here. I had requested they try to get me some eisentrauti and when they arrived, they were shocked at how similar they were to quads but sent me pics anyway just in case they were missing something. Unfortunately they were in fact just quadricornis.

The eisentrautis have the same problems as the namaquensis - they are even in their habitat rare / the places where they live in higher numbers aren't found yet. If they weren't so rare they were here illegal - like many other Cameroon species here in Europe
