Mysterious injuries

Hi, i've got a male and female pygmy chameleon.
I've had them for just over two months now and after a rocky start they've been happy ever since.
However upon inspection of the female today when i got her out for a weekly check i found she has quite a few open wounds :(
Mostly arround her legs.
Would could cause these? the male is fine.
I did put in some larger chrickets for them so could these of bitten her?
also theres a quite a few fruit flys that started apearing arround the tank, could these cause this? and how do i stop them?

I get them out every week to check them, the male doesnt really like this so i put him back asap, but the female is so relaxed she'll eat crickets whilst sitting on my hand :)

Crickets left in the cage will generally try to chew on chameleon skin. In a pygmy cage it can be impossible to find all the loose crickets at times, so it can be helpful to place a low-lipped plastic lid in there sprinkled with cricket chow. This gives the crickets an easier choice for food, and will keep them gutloaded for your pygmy chams. Do be careful not to feed oversized bugs. And check the wounds for infection. If you have a topical ointment such as silvadene or Nolvasan you may want to put some on the wounds. Otherwise just keep the wounds clean and watch for infection.

The other possibility, though unlikely, is that the male is attacking her.

The "fruit flies" you are seeing are likely fungus gnats. do a search on the forum for gnats or fungus gnats and I think you will find some ideas for getting rid of them. The pygmy chams will not eat them.
