Ive had my veiled for about 6 months now, he's about 8 months old. Today was the first 75 degree day in NY. Everyone talks about how great natural sunlight is for Chams. I took him out in my backyard (full sun) and he completely FREAKED!! Exhibiting wild, out of control behavior that I've never seen! He wanted to get away from me by any means he could. He darted for the ground and RAN toads the woods. When I went to grab him he hissed and snapped! When I picked him up he dug his claws into my hand and drew blood. I put him back in his terrarium and he hid under some orchid leaves for the rest of the day! Clearly he's traumatized and doesn't want to be touched! So much for ever taking him out again! I was looking forward to building him an outdoor cage but I think he would die out there! Very disturbing for such a timid animal! Anyone else seen this??
