My tempelis bred

Champhibians

Just wanted to let everyone know my tempelis bred for the first time today. I did not want to take a pic of them and disturb them. Since this was the first time. So hopefully here in about 6 months or so I will have some babies.

Right on!

I had a lone male tempeli for the loooooongest time and he was an awesome chameleon. Sadly he died a bachelor patiently waiting for the second F1 shipment to arrive.

Good luck with yours. How many do you have?

I have a 1.2. Very interesting chameleon. They are turning in to my favorite. The double beard is awsome. If you want to see some pics I will get some up tomorrow. Tim

Congrats, what a cool accomplishment that will be! I, for one, would love to see pics of your trio. How are you keeping them? Singly, except for breeding attempts or other?

I kept them all separate. I had the females togeather for awhile. They were doing fine. Then i thought about it and realized this is a pretty rare chameleon, I dont want to take any chances. Well this is the first time I have tried to post pics so here it goes.

Nice!

The tempeli were such a wonderful chameleon to work with; I wish I had more.

When did you get yours? This past F1 shipment? How are you finding them as compared to a regular WC chameleon? I also had the red rudis years ago, how 'bout some pics of yours for comparison sakes? There seems to be alot of variation with those guys.

Congrats again on the tempeli. Keep me posted on them for sure!

Thanks, I did get them the past shipment. You know as for the F1 to WC, they seemed to have no stress from shipping at all. For me the WC tend to take a 2-5 days to recover from shipping. They also seem to eat alot more. My WC eat alot at first. Then I tend to cut down on the feeding. Keeps the toungs flying far. And they seem to not eat as often. But the tempelis will eat as much as I throw in a cage. Here are some pics of the red rudis. I will try to get one when he has a bright yellow body. But he is not that color often, just to breed.

Beautiful rudis. That will likely be my next species of chameleon. What is their usual lifespan in captivity?

Well I believe the female is gravid, I put her back in with the male today and she wanted nothing to do with him. Also the other female was a gravid f1, I think she will be droping this month.
