Hi my veil is approximately 1 yr and half I noticed yesterday at lunch she was holding on to a vine with her front paws and her hind was cocked off to side , I thght it was weird until later that day I noticed she had her hind end just about hanging off the vine and her tail was completely limp. So we made sure she was some what comfortable and we went to sleep when we woke up at 2 am we found her hanging from 1 rear paw, since this she seams very drained of energy she doesn't move and seams like her hind end was frozen not cold.
I've looked into a few things and found out it could be a calcium problem I had only been feeding the crickets calcium food , didn't know she needed more . So today I went aND bought liquid calcium and the powder I gave her a drop of calcium and a few drops of water slash tiny bit of calcium.

I guess my question is does this sound rght or is it something eles. And if it is calcium problem what can I expect now she still to weak to even drink

It absolutely sounds like this is MBD. Please visit the caresheets for information on supplementation. You should be dusting feeders EVERY DAY with Calcium without D3, and Calcium with D3/Multivitamin about twice a month (Every other week). I would strongly recommend you take your girl to a reptile vet immediately to see how severe it is.

It could also be the she is eggbound. No matter what it is, from your description of her if you don't get her to a vet now/asap I don't think she will live long. Sorry to have to tell you that.

If you're feeding her crickets calcium rich foods, then the problem might be that she cannot absorb it because her body isn't making d3. What kinda of lighting do you have for her? As others have suggested, she needs a vet asap.

In the meantime i suggest you take her outside for as much natural sunlight as you possibly can. Her body will generate all the d3 it needs and she'll be able to utilize the calcium in her system…..
