NHenn Avid Member Oct 21, 2013 #2 I would have to guess he will be shedding soon. Doesn't look like it is a burn or anything.

Dr O Veterinarian Oct 21, 2013 #6 make sure his body is misted/wetted regularly and he’ll be shedding in the next few days. it’s not an unusual way to begin a shed.
