I named him Bob although i believe it is actually a female. She is a fiji tomato clownfish. If you have ever seen veggie tales, the tomatos name is Bob. I also have a peppermint shrimp named Patti (get it, peppermint patti LOLz) and i have a 3 striped damsel named ass hole. My tank is still cycling but i plan to add some soft corals, an anenome or 2, and a clown goby when my parameters of the water become appropriate. Any of yall into fish tanks, speak up and show me what u got.

I had salt for years got tired of taking care of it especially with the chameleons to take care of it got to be to much. Nice tomato clown.

thanks alot dean. Yeah it can be alot of work, im trying to steer clear of fish/coral species that are tricky to feed and im looking to keep hardier species as well. Between chams, this saltwater tank, and my malawi cichlid tank, work, and school, i have alot to look after. Panther, i have a penguin 200 and 150 and you cant tell from the photo but there is alot of water movement in the tank.

magnum

Hey have you ever considered getting a magnum filter for that tank? Theyre good for upto 100 gallons. We use them at work for our saltwater tanks and the flow/filtration you can get from them are incredible. You using any kind of protein skimmer?

i would invest in a nice canister filter but i already had the penguin 200 lying around and i got the penguin 150 brand new for $15. Those two filters are very quiet and they turn over the tank more than a dozen times in an hour so im not worried about lack of filtration. The runoff from those filters make the turbulence in the bow front tank perfect for corals that require good water movement. My tank hasnt completed its cycling process yet which is why i dont have my skimmer hooked up. I have a little oceanic nano protein skimmer that i haven't even taken out of the box yet. Im not going to invest in a real expensive skimmer anyway because i do 30% water changes on my tanks a week and for a 28 gallon bow front, you'll remove more waste in a water change than a skimmer could skim off in a week anyway.
