My New Friend

Found this guy running around the kitchen.
He was up by the roof.
You should have seen me ontop of my counter tops trying to grab him.

I'm not sure what he is.
I live in Central Florida if that helps any.
Once you were holding him he was really nice, and didnt mind the pictures.
I have no reason to keep a nocturnal pet, so I let him go to eat the bugs around the house.:D

Awesome! Now you are going to be in geckos eh?, can't stop getting any lizards :D. Too bad you didn't know what it was otherwise you could have kept it ;). Lol

Looks like my little House Gecko that I found here in the house in January! He was in bad shape and all dried up when I found him! Being fed well he has grown quite a bit. Here he is from January-I will see if I can get a picture of him now!

I was always thought it would be nice to have some free range geckos in a chameleon room to clean up the escaped feeders.
Not until I have a situation where the cats don't have access to the room though.

That's a great idea Brad! I have a cat free lizard house and tons of those house geckos all over outside. I'm going to do a little catch and release program.

Howdy,

It was finding (on my neighbor's living room carpet) and raising a young Mediterranean House Gecko that eventually led to me keeping chameleons. That's one phone call from my neighbor that my wife wished I hadn't answered .

The gecko was always extremely skittish while many of her offspring could be hand-fed.

She laid 2 eggs about every 40-50 days. I hatched 5 pairs before I released her back into the "wild".

Dave, how long was the incubation for that? Interesting how one animal can lead to another

Great pics everyone. Dave those are REALLY cool. No geckos in Maryland but we have some cool salamanders and skinks I would say they are.

Haha, Dave!
I still remember how my girl friend ask your wife whether she is into chameleons as well and she gave her a big NO face.
:D

How long was the female alive? And how was she able to keep producing the eggs? Was she in with a male?

In AZ we have these gecko's. I'm not at home so i can't view my pictures to post.
