My Jackson's Video

The head bobbing- what does that mean exactly? My jackson does this from time to time.

Awesome video, and what a handsome jackson!!

What a sweetheart Craig. I love him! It's chameleons like him and keepers like you that make me absolutely love chameleons!

SO TRUE jann! My son turned me on to chameleons, this forum has took it to a whole different level. My Jackson is so sweet, but very timid! Never tries to bite me or run from me, how ever, he doesn't just walk to my hand either. I have to trick him, with a stick lol Care to share how you managed to get him like this? Im sure it was the usual hand feeding, giving space, at his own pace. Just curious if you did anything extra special. This is the first video I've seen of a Jackson willingly going to a human. Ive seen numerous veiled and panther videos.

Wow! thanks for all the nice comments. I wasn't expecting that. I really don't handle my Chameleons unless I'm moving them or taking pictures of them. They do know who brings the food though.:)

I've had that Jackson's (my only xantholophus) for 4 years now and he is my go to guy when I any extra unusual bugs. He eats everything.

As far as the head bobbing, he usually does that when he's excited about something. This was the first time he's seen the Go Pro so he had to give it the bob.

Awesome I am on the right track. I never handle my boys unless im taking them outdoors then I always give them a couple worms once outside. Hoping they associate me with sunshine and worms :) AND that makes perfect sense. My Jackson does some major bobbing when I put a caterpillar in his enclosure! :D I had heard it was part of the breeding process, but hes never even seen a female. Then I heard it was territorial, but he never does it around my panther HOWEVER when a caterpillar enters the picture he starts bobbing! That makes it even cuter now that I know he's doing it out of excitement :p
