My enclosure so far...

Hello,

So I've been gathering bits for my enclosure for a while now. I pick up my baby Ambilobe in about 5 weeks time or so. It'll be about 12 weeks old by then.

The enclosure is 18x18x36 and all aluminium. I still need to get a 60W basking bulb to add to my clamp lamp. The strip light is a repti-sun 5.0.

The two plants are a pair of young and healthy Ficus (which have been washed down in case of chemicals used) while the vines are artificial ones from Exo Terra.

I've put one plant on a small metal cage to raise it closer to the light and put white plastic tape around the base to stop bugs getting in there where my cham wont be able to reach.

I've got a mister but it's not set up yet. Ill make a more detailed post soon with temps and humidity guages.

Thanks to everyone that's answer my questions on enclosures so far. The decisions I've made were directly from input by the forums =))

Anything I should change so far?

Cheers

Nice job! You have done well. Glad to hear your prepping for him and not just running out to buy a cham and then ask 50 million questions :D very responsible! I like your cage. I also like the light fixtures you guys have in the UK... much more efficient it seems.

Looks great. Very nice job. IMO the more cover you can offer the better, so if I were you I would maybe add some fake plant vines and fasten them to the sides of the cage using zipties.

Thanks for the replies. =)

Bamboo sounds interesting, I don't think I've read about using it before.

I have another 6ft of artificial vines too. Will experiment with some on the sides of the enclosure.
