My diy cage

Just wanted to show off my cage and see what you guys like/don't like about it to see if I'm missing something or overdoing something?

total of 4 plants... ficus, pothos, umbrella, and the third is a larger leaf plant in the yellow pot if forget its name

the black tube is the dipper and its hard to make him out but hes just to the left of the tube.. he likes to sit around here and bask

and just for good measure

Looks good to me man. Ive done 3 custom cages so from experience i like it. Did you water proof the cage? Nice veiled. The large leaf plant to me looks like hibiscus.

I'm a newbie, but it looks nice. A more seasoned member will eventually come through and critique it for you.

I'm sure everyone has been enjoying family time, and not online for very long today. Gotta have some patience on forums :)

Thanks guys.. Im hooked like everyone else and now have an extra cage that i wanna fill with another chameleon..

But does the cage look like it has to much going on and he needs some more space? hes been having a hard time adjusting hasn't had the same apatite.

I think your build looks very nice, an adult veiled needs at least 24x24x48- could not tell size by your pics but it looks big. Do you have a UV light on it? Don't worry about the loss of appetite- new surroundings can do that for a few days.

nice setup, it looks great! What are the diminsions on it? It looks pretty big :) is that peg board you are using for the floor? do you have it draining into something? What type of screen did you use for the sides?

Definitely not "to much going on." More plants is always better than less. He has plenty of space IMO. Now for the constructive criticism. Where's your UV? How are your basking temps? The peg board bottom is going to give your probs down the road if it is just the regular peg board kind of a thing. How are you dealing w/ the drainage? There are some very good threads around here on how peeps have dealt w/ drainage.

The cage is 16'' deep two feet wide and three foot tall. Everything has been stained and cleared so it should withstand a few years of misting and such.
The screen is regular metal screen mesh for window screens.
As for the peg board bottom its stained and cleared as well but i do have a metal drip pan where everything collects.. I also use paper towels in the pan. cleaned out every other day or as i see fit seems to be working well..

as for the appetite loss.. the new larger cage and shedding were the reason for not eating.. but seems like hes coming around now.. still hates me and really didn't like the idea of tong feeding quiet yet
