Just thought I'd share some pictures of my new ambilobes from Kammerflage Kreations. Male is about 2.8 months, female is about 3.3 months. I've had them for a week now and took them outside for the first time. Their colors sure did change when I took them out. Normally the male is a contrast of "bark" colors, with white, and the female is a contrast of peach and tan. They both get dark brown sometimes. They are eating like little piggies, and they blow my mind everytime I see them.
I've had many pets over the years. Like many of you, as a youngster I had backyard anoles, leopard geckos, corn snakes, white's tree frogs, more fish tanks than I'd like to admit (still have my 100 gallon Oscar tank)...but nothing, I mean nothing captivates me the way these guys do. The way their eyes move independently, and the size of those turrets...their incredible "monkey" tails...and dont get me started on their tongues. I hand feed them with a bamboo skewer, and I felt the stickiness, power, and precision through that wood stick. Incredible. And I haven't even mentioned their colors...
What wonderful, awesome creatures.
