There's a really common fungus that grows in organicly enriched soils Leucocoprinus birnbaumii aka Lepiota lutea, the yellow houseplant mushroom. It is harmless and usually fades away after a few weeks, never to be seen again.

I had some little mushrooms growing in my shefflera quite a ways back and I just pulled them out and they never grew back.
