It's an addiction...it's just been a month since I got my baby panther and I've come to the conclusion (along with my mom) that I'll be getting another cham in the fall! So I've all summer to save up and decide what type to get. Also going to get a mister, might as well go all out :D

Anybody have some suggestions? I've a super Ambilobe male so I'd like to get something different this time around. I'm looking for something with super colors. I'd prefer something at least 4months old. Suggestions?!

My suggestion is to get whichever one you like the idea of best. Veiled, Jacksons, a female panther? I want to go for quads next as far as chams go, but thats 'cos I've decided to go for horns and fins more than colours. You got plenty of time to make your mind up so you'll probably change it few times anyway, lol.......

gotta love the horns and fins:D:D

I think I'll stick to a some sort of panther, and I'm sure I'll be changing my mind again and again. The Jacksons with their horses are so awesome though. I'm looking into a Sambava, Screameleons has a very intense male pictured below.

I emailed them to see when they'll have some offspring. My cham is a blue bar ambilobe, so I think between him and a striking red cham, I'll be set! :D

Thank you for the advice, I looked up the Carpets and wow, they're something special! My baby panther already looks super cool, I attached a pic of his dad. I bought him from epicchameleons.com. If he looks anything like him I'll be happy! He's starting to show some green and a little blue at 4 months. I just definitely want my own little collection...I think the Carpets will be my next adventure them some Sambavas! :D

That is a very cool and unique colored boy there, carpets seem very cool (from the pics and info I've read on them.) Only drawback is there short lifespan, if you go that route I'd be sure and go for cb and try to get a pretty young one.

Some veileds can be very colorful too (I like the turquoise ones), also I wouldn't rule out the less colorful ones, as I'm sure you've already learned there's more than just a pretty face to a chameleon.

Honestly, I love all chams. My childhood cham was a veiled named Prince :) I actually was able to tame him or he let me tame him, I was only 12! So I was actually looking for another veiled but found my baby panther. Knowing myself, I'll have many chams in the next few years! For now I was thinking a carpet is perfect due to their smaller size. The shorter lifespan is definitely a drawback. I'm thinking of a veiled, I don't know if any will compare to my guy when I was young, but I like a challenge :D I'll probably change my mind a few more times, there are way too many species!! Guess it'll be a surprise!
