Mouth open please help!!

My Cham keeps opening his mouth for a minute or two then closing it, and repeats. He's been dong this all day and I'm not sure what's wrong. Please help

what are his temps? sometimes chams do this when they get too hot while basking to cool themselves off. is there any other pet in the room that could be upsetting him?

No other pets in the room, his temps range from top of terrarium: 81 to bottom which is 70

That does not look like a male. Does it have the spurs on its back feet? Looks like s female with a large stomach! Eggs? They will hold open their moth with respiratory issues.

I still say that is not a male!!

Looks like a female to me, but hard to tell from that picture. As the other members have stated it's either just regulating body temperature or a respiratory infection.

Thank you all, she was too hot. And I'm very shocked she isn't a male but I know what to do for female.

A female will do that when she's become eggbound and a chameleon will do it when it's having organ failure and dying.
They also do that sometimes when they have had too much water.

Kinyonga that is what I was thinking she is eggbound and could be dying.
