He's a handsome little guy. He's eyes look a little sunken in......could be the picture. Is he well hydrated?

Yup, its just that the picture makes everything darker than it actually is. When i actually took the first pic he had no green. The second pic just makes it look a little dark around his eyes when there actually isn't anything wrong. Thanks though.:D

I gaurentee you that he is not dehydrated, its just the photo that makes his eyes look that way. I keep this big guy in the best possible living conditions. His eyes are alway the way they should be. I wish i had a better camera to take a picture of him with but i used what i got. :D

How often do you handle him? When you handle him, do you "play with him" or simply let him hold onto your fingers?

One of my many mistakes as a new chameleon owner, was handling them. I had a 4 month old Sambava, and I took him out every few days just to hold and look at. When I did handle him, I would twist my hand just a little so I could feel his strength, and view his acrobatic abilities.

What I did, is a bad thing.

I put my hand over a plant and he reached down to get it. That is why he is holding on my hand with his hind legs and tail in the two photos.

Hey guys, i posted more pics of this little guy under "Ambilobe chameleon pics", in the General Photography section. Check it out.
