More difficult?

I have been researching the different kinds of chams available. I have only ever had one and it was a Jackson about 10 years ago or so. I have read a lot of information on different sites and the majority seem to state that Jacksons are more difficult. What makes them more difficult? Is it just their humidity requirements? Any information you can provide would be great!! Thank you in advance.

They require less supplements, and lower temps, higher RH.

Those are really the only things I have found that make them more "difficult" to keep.

Like Solid said, those are the differences but I've never thought that made them harder. It's a question of making small changes to your cage to accommodate them and that's about it, the day to day care is about the same except with less supplementing with minerals/vitamins.

They were the first species I owned and all I did differently was:
- Use a lower watt bulb to keep the highest temp at 80-83*F
- I run the AC so my house was at 75*F anyway
- Got a misting system and lots of live plants to keep the humidity high. If it didn't work I just taped a sheet of plastic to the back 3 walls of the cage and that did the trick.
- Provided lots of water because mine loved to drink
- Provided calcium mainly through high-calcium insects and supplemented very rarely.

And that was it. The differences seemed to me pretty easy to take care of. And he was such a sweet chameleon, he was a great chameleon to start off with.
