misting stress

I have a 4-5 month old veiled that gets real dark like VERY dark when I mist his enclouser.

I use hot water so it mistes warm. and I don't know if the dark while misting is him trying to absorbe heat or stress. I dont like stressing him daily. I don't mist him directly but he does get wet. But he doesn't get mad hiss nothing just turns dark and gets as high as he can. He's hydrated and well fed and very active and healthy in any other aspect.

Is this normal?

my guy was the same way, ran away terrified. now, he just tolerates it.
