Misting and plants

Should I be watering my live plants if I am misting 2-3 times per day? I have a rather large umbrella tree, and a china doll plant. Humidity is around %50 on average, and I drip for about 30 minutes daily along with misting 2-3 times a day. Should I still be pouring water into my plants? Or will they be fine with just the misting? Thanks,

I do.
even though i mist 6 times a day, i water my plants once a week. i find that most of the water runss off the leaves, but never makes it into the dirt.

Yes, this is true. Most of the droplets evaporate before being absorbed by the plant. Cage plants tend to get waterlogged if your dripper runs into the pots, or you have a heavy auto mist cycle. Just remember to test the pot soil by hand on a regular basis (push a finger below the surface...if the soil is dry, water the plant).
