Mild burn

Hi guys,

I'm concerned about my veiled Cham, he appears to have burnt himself mildly.

He has been basking in a weird position lately and I suspect this is how it's happened. I have now changed his setup to prevent this happening again.

Anyway, there is a row of 5 or 6 spines on his back which have discoloured to a grey colour. There is no sign of any flesh that's burnt away and no open wounds.

I am assuming he will probably lose these :-(

Is there anything I can do to help him? Is there any chance of a recovery?

if it is a burn i would say its too minor to effect him at all his spike willnot fall off in my opinion they will fully heal if you have fixed the problem.:):):)

imo, he may go through a few shedding rounds where the tips will be dulled and possibly even sloughed, but it should rebound ok. you are lucky! literally a few more mm's down and i think you would have had a full slough and scarring.

if it seems to progress down his side in the next week or 2, please let me know.
