Metal Mesh/Screen

Hello,

Does anyone know where I can buy metal mesh/screen for my feeders? It’s almost impossible to find it without the holes being too big for my cricks to jump out of. I live in Queens New York, but I can order online.

Thanks :p

why dont u keep them in a plastic tupperware tub or a small glass tank, 2-5 gallons, there are alot of different options to keep them in, not just mesh.

almost any hardware store should have it just ask for aluminum window or screen door replacement screen.

I do keep them in a medium size plastic bin, but I cut out the little rectangle on the cover and hot glue the mesh to it, so the little bastards can get proper ventilation :D

In addition, I went to home depot and asked the workers and all of them keep sending me to the gardening section, but I definitely will try the window aisle.

I also do this for my butter worms that I give my little guy “Thor” as a treat, which he is in love with..ha! I want to buy other feeders, but not until I get this stuff. I appreciate all your help and so does Thor :p

Just an FYI

hey sherlin, I live in Islip, NY and I use a little plastic critter cage that I bought at petland discounts to house my crix for only $5. I keep a few hundred in there but will opt for a large bin once i get my order of 1000 crickets tomorrow. I hope that helps.

I second the home depot/lowes suggestion.... I'm building some enclosures and have bought a good few rolls there.... you can find what you need in the "screen repair" section...also , its typically located next to storm doors..
