Mesh + Visibility

Hello

I'm just curious what people on here would consider the best mesh to use when making a terrarium to maximize visibility of things within the cage?

Like for photographing through ?

Cheers

Im not quite sure what brand or material works best. But depending on your species, the larger the gaps in the mesh, the less the disturbances. so, if you can get a 1"x1" gap, that would work great.

Black aluminum screen seems to be the best for visibility.. However if you want to take photos I recommend just not doing it through the screen lol

I'd agree. I use black mesh on my large indoor bird aviary too and find it does the best at disappearing visually. But, the denser the mesh (such as screen tight enough to keep feeders from escaping) is going to affect the camera either by messing up the auto focus or blurring or degrading the image of the creature behind it.

Design a cage with a very large door front you can open completely.

If you chose to use glass for one panel of the cage it would still need attention or cleaning before taking photos anyway.

Yep I hear you I really see myself just filming & photographing with the doors open so their is nothing distorting the view.

The terrarium I have now whilst glass...allows for the entire front to swing open.
