Melanogaster questions????

So im corn-fused at the moment as this has never happened to me. Using the same flies from culture after culture after culture.... This last culture took off in the same time as the rest and they even look normal but they can fly? Did i magically host something in the media that turned my melanos into flying melano's, j/k? Something in the media hatch some other fly that looks like melanos but fly? Has this happened to anyone else?

i do add a smigin of spirulina and some of the gut load i make into the mix but it isnt anything different from times/years before this??????

I knew it! Effin linked dolphin ancestory to fruit flies caused them to turn into FLYING MELANOS! Who woulda thought dolphins huh...

Not sure how it happened but it makes sense.

Gnats can get into your cultures and create havoc. They reproduce and will fly.
