Meet Yoshi!

Hello all! I'm the adoptive owner of Yoshi the veiled chameleon, a 1yr old male. A few months ago a friend of mine moved out of the country for school. Since then I've been caring for this guy right here

As you might be able to see from this picture, Yoshi has an injury on the very top of his veil. Before my friend or I owned him, his first owner let him get burned on his heat bulb. His veil has been healing nicely since he's been receiving topical antibiotics.

Yoshi is a pretty good eater. He's not very picky, except that he doesn't seem to like the redworms that I keep for my red-eared slider. He likes crickets, superworms, & meal worms. He has a very shy demeanor but has been warming up to his new home. I've been keeping his cage outside on the screened patio while I can take advantage of the temperature. Right now the patio stays between 78 and 85 deg F, and his 12hr basking spot from ~92 to ~96 (I need to get a laser thermometer).

I'd just like to say thank you to everyone who adds to the wealth of knowledge on this site. As a first-time cham owner this site has been immensely helpful. I look forward to contributing to these forums in the future.

Welcome to the forums. What a beautiful guy, sounds like he has a good home too!/

Thank you. I too like his colors. He seems to like his home. I hope that by next spring he will be comfortable enough to free range on the patio.
