so the other day me and my girlfriend grabed 4 bearded pygmys, 2 each. they are WC but are doing absolutley great in their new home. they've easily adapted to cup feeding and are drinking perfectly.

as for sexing them, my gf has a male and a female no doubt. i on the other hand cant quite make mine out. they both have shorter tails, but in terms of colour and back ridge appearance, one is a greyish brown with a more ridged back then the smaller one who is a constant brown. because they are WC, i have no idea about the age, but one is obviously younger. so perhaps he/she hasnt grown into its tail yet? lol. i weighed them as well last night. the larger pygmy is 4.8g while the smaller one is 3.8g, for pygmy owners, is this an appropriate weight?

havin a picnic

also, does anybody have some name ideas? i was thinking about hensal and gretal haha

Aren't they adorable! Hansel and Gretal are great names. Please, oh please, put a little house somewhere in the enclosure.....

Difficult to say really, could do with a clearer pic of each close up. let me see, i think u mean the cham in pic 1,in the second pic, the cham on the left?, the cham in pic 3 and the cham on the left in pic4?

I think its a female - if its the same cham in all pics and i would think that she may be gravid. mine came like that, a little wide around the belly area! there isnt any real definition to raised ridges on the back which also makes me think its a girl, also, my males are aways in display colours and are longer and thinner with defined pointy ridges.
these are my males:

and these re my females:

and my female that just died

hope it helps you decide what you have! I dont tend to go from the tail any more, I go from display colours and the ridges on the back and body profile!

i realy appriciate your help though man

im saying female too. they both are same body appearance, but this one tends to have a more distingused stripe on her sides, and there are no hemipenil buldges on either of them

a pair of girls it is then!
once they are settled in, wait and see if the one that looks tubby in the pics gets any bigger as she may be gravid. then if your girlfriend has the male, you wish to put him in with your ladies for a few days! im sure he wil have some fun!

is there any special care steps i should take with a gravid girl? any supplimenting? also too, what would a go supplimenting schedual be? i've read on fl chams care sheet, dust about 3 times a week for adults, around 4 -5 for subs and everyday for juniors. i dont know the age, so to your opinion what would be a sufficient suppliment? also too d3 and w/o d3. maybe 1 d3 a week and 3 w/o? or should they intake 2/2.

will they breed upon meeting or do they go through seasons all year round to breed? i will be breeding my gfs male with my girls just dont know when i could or should
