Ok thank you. Someone is trying to sell him for $300 and I mentioned it looks like he might have mbd and I was told I don't know what I'm talking about and he's very healthy. I posted a pic of one of mine and said this is what his bone structure should look like and I was told once again I don't know what I'm talking about. I appreciate the time for your response. Here's one of my little guys

Holding up the head like that can be a sign of an RI. Have you noticed any extra saliva in his mouth of heard him making a little noise?
No his mouth seems pretty normal and I see it everyday because he does have an issue either neurologically or with one of his eyes because he can't shoot his tongue correctly. So I have to hand feed him most of his food everyday. It goes wild once he shoots at more then about an inch. I feel bad for him but besides that I don't mind. I got him about a month ago from someone that said they took him on a trade and didn't have interest in Chameleons but failed to mention his troubles eating. this guy is asking who you are that I told a very reputable Chameleon owner agreed about the mbd and he asked who you are lol how should I reply? And thank you on the information about the RI i knew about the saliva and the breathing but not that part. I learn something almost every time I'm on here and I love it!
@kinyonga no he does not hold his mouth open. I also thought that about his tongue but besides that there are no other signs of mbd. He wont even try to shoot his tongue most of the time. He chases them down and pretty much tries to lick and then bite them instead of pulling them in with his tongue if you know what I mean. It's kind of hard to explain.
@jannb If they have an RI is their breathing loud when they sleep also? I just went in to triple check lol but I didn't hear anything I have 4 panthers and 1 veiled but none of them have ever had a RI so I'm not exactly familiar with them but i have done my research on them and he is my newest and the only one I didn't get as a baby and the previous owner didn't gave him long either so he wasn't able to answer as many questions as I would have liked but like I said I don't believe he has one. And my exotic vet has been on vacation for weeks now so I have to wait a little longer to get him checked.
And he is able to extend his tongue the normal distance for his size but any time he tries it goes kind of straight up in the air so instead he chases them down. I'm not sure if the person before the last guy was supplementing him but the guy I got him from gave me everything he had and calcium was not one so I can almost guarantee he wasn't supplementing him but he didn't have him very long. Since I got him I changed his light to a linear uvb and have been giving him calcium without D3 everyday and with D3 once so far but his tongue hasn't seemed to get any better and I'm not sure if it will. I am really eager for my vet to get back to see if any tests can help me figure it out exactly.
