Maybe hyper extended tongue!

Ok so I was feeding my 1 year old male nosy be who is always an agressive eater. So i was feeding him a superworm from my hand and he actually grabbed on to my finger and i freaked out which i normally dont do but since hes so agressive i got scared! Now i tried to feed him another one to see how much damage i did being a complete idiot =\. He usually can go across the whole cage but now its cut to about half his normal length and not as accurate should i wait a day or two? or should i take him to the vet?

Its not hanging out of his mouth right? If not I would give him a few days to heal and not make him shoot to far right now.
