Marking eggs.

Well I want to mark my eggs so I know that they aren't turned just in case I have to move one out and I accidentally move the container with them in it. Could I use Crayola markers to mark the top of the eggs?

I've used a #2 pencil (have to sort of lightly brush it back and forth usually to get a good mark) and a normal permanent marker to mark my eggs in the past. With the marker I just put a dot on each egg.

I haven't bothered marking my eggs in years though. I've knocked and dropped egg cases and had to reset completely messed up eggs and they hatched out just fine. I'm no longer a believer in the "mustn't turn or they die" thing anymore.
