Did you really breed them?

Thats awesome

Im afraid I can't take credit for this invention. Mantispidae is a family of Neuroptera (Lacewings and antlions) and are in no way related to mantids. This little fellow uses Batsian mimicry to infiltrate the hives of paper wasps and feed on their larvae. Its raptorial forelimbs and truncate, elongated pronotum are textbook examples of convergent evolution. I am truly grateful to have found this rare and unique specimen! Insects are truly fascinating creatures!
