I would go with a Zoomed Reptisun 10.0 if you are using a large Reptarium. The dark mesh filters out alot of the UVB. If your cham tends to hang upside down from the top, you would need to raise it a bit off of the cage to keep your cham from having eye issues. I would also stick with a separate basking lamp.

10.0 is for desert reptiles is it not?

to me it looks like there isnt enough cover for your cham to hide in. if he doesnt feel safe and hidden he might get stressed out and brown like that, it might be a simple fix of getting a lot more cover in there for him. i think the cage should have some open areas but mostly cover for him to hide in. dont make it to crowded so he cant move around just enough to feel safe.

also i have once changed my uvb bulb to a 10.0 because i figured that the screen filters about half or so and then if he isnt within 6 inches or so he doesnt get 100% of the uvb rays, but when i switched my cham seemed to be browner and more stressed. sence i switched back he is back to green. its just my experience, but if you decide to get a 10.0 watch him closly.

You can go with whatever length fits your cage-I use 18" (14W I believe) on 16X16X30 cages and the larger ones on larger cages. I only use 10.0's on Reptariums and 5.0's on my all screen cages.

also i forgot to add that mine walks around to the bottom and up and adventures around all the time. its healthy exersise.

actually mine also does exactly like like yours..
But, i haven't upgrade the cage yet..
perhaps it's the cold weather?

what i can think is that he is looking for food because that is what they do all day in the wild. in the wild they never eat all at once and if your cham is like mine he eats all his in like 4 mintues so he is prob looking for food. plus i have a turtle tank next to my cage and he might go down and talk to them...i dont no, maybe

yeh i guess hes still a kid, just playing around, he still even plays with his food lol grabs it and chomps down once and lets the cricket wiggle for a bit before chewing and swallowing lol.
