Malagasy Exporters

Hi All,
As you can perhaps tell from my username I'm in Iceland. I would very much like to acquire some Malagasy Chams but it seems the only way I can do this is to import myself.
I would very much appreciate it if someone could provide me with the contact details of some of the authorised reptile exporters in Madagascar. Naturally I only want to acquire animals legally and with all the correct paperwork. Maybe it would be better to do so via private messaging?
I have tried to find information on the internet but it was been difficult and I'm wary of scammers and really don't want to deal with some who doesn't respect the animals
I have been keeping reptiles for seven years and have just moved to a slighly larger home so would like to add one or two more species.
Thank you

Instead of importing from Madagascar I would look into importing from Europe. I would look for high quality captive bred animals too. The condition they will arrive in would be far superior to the condition wc animals would arrive in. Good Luck.

I fully agree with you,You better make the trip to the Hamm Fair in Germany.
You can surch out of maybe 30 chameleonspecies, most of them cb and coming from good breeders.

Thank you both for your replies. It is very difficult to find someone willing to export to Iceland and the few that agreed it was prohibitively expensive. I would like to try and acquire animals from the source country as this would be both a different experience, dealing with people in the range country.
I'm only interested in legally obtained and exported animals from reliable exporters so beside the fact that Mainland European breeders are charging excessive fees for exporting here it would very much be a learning experience which i would hope provides me with a little more insight into the origins of the animals.
I see that members have done this and it's a project I would like to do next year.

I wouldn't add any extra cost, where it gets expensive is the taxes you would have to pay to get them into your country and also the airline fees and also whatever it may cost to obtain cites for the animals but for WC or f1 this wouldn't be difficult

Just as long as your aware that acclimating Wild Caught (if they even live) animals is normally much more cumulatively expensive than buying captive bred animals that are sold at a premium. You should consider that as well before making your purchase.

well you should totaly go to ham and look for chams there, there is a huge variety of animals there kamelon jvo has a good number of madagascars chameleons that are captivity breed . you should always try to buy captivity breed, that way you won´t be contributing to the extinction of the species and would be with more certainty get get a healthy animal
