Lumps in neck

I am a little worried about one of my male veileds who is now about one year old. I noticed a small lump on both sides of his neck. Upon doing some research it sounds like hypervitaminosis or gular edema(sp). Does anyone have experience with either of thses things. He eats and drinks very well and is extremely active. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

I turned his lights on for a sec to get these shots...figured they would be clearer with him not moving around. Thanks!

Are you talking about the two bumps on the lower part of his chin/jaw...just below his cheeks? They are perfectly normal!~

Thanks for the reply...I have never noticed them before and the other male I have..his brother, does not have those at all. They are soft so I thought it may be fluid build-up or something, I wasn't really sure. Maybe I am just being paranoid then.

I do not work with veileds very often but it looks to me like edema. And those other pics..the cham is eating...totally different. Edema is when the body tries to create a equalibrium between water inside the cells and outside the cells. Well if you do not have enough electrolites then the water outside of the cells and it causes swelling. Basically you need to give your cham more water. During the next few months I would cut down down the amount of food and bump up the water big time.

OK that's what I've been doing the last week or so just in case. It's odd though because him and the other male (his brother) that I own have always received the exact same schedule of water, food, etc.

Thanks for posting those pics too...the first one looks similar, his bumps are just a little bigger, and soft too. I will keep the water intake higher though just in case.

Let's clarify this a little...are you talking about the gular pouch/throat or are you talking about the two swellings on his lower jaw just below where the upper and lower jaw joins? The two that are on his lower jaw are what I was referring to.

I don't either. My adult male developed them at about 10-12 months and still has them.

Thanks for the pics everyone. I was referring to the lower jaw, under is brown markings. I was concerned because he has not always had them...just wanted some opinions from all of you. If you say yours developed his when he was about 10-12 months makes me feel better..he is about a year old now. Like I may have said already, it is probably me just being overly protective/concerned.
