this maybe a dumb question but i was at lowes today and saw a fluorescent bulb called aquarium and plant(f15) could i use one of them insted of a repti glo 5.0 for my veiled?

No, they do not produce the UVB that your chameleon requires.

I would even go further and suggest that you use the repti-sun instead of the repti-glo.

I use the Repti-Sun 5.0
Repti-Sun is a different brand (ZooMed) that is superior to Repti-Glo.
