Lowering basking temperature

Hey everyone! I was trying to do some research online on how to lower the basking temperature significantly, Luna is approaching 6 months and I'm going to start putting her on a diet so her clutches aren't large or no clutches at all.

If anyone has advice on how to lower it from my 87 degrees to about 78-80 that'd be great!

Im not sure. How far away is the basking branch from the lights again?

About 5-6 in

What UVB do you have? You could probably move the branch to 7 or 8 inches

That's the uvb, spot beneath that is about 7-8 in

Just raise the heat bulb up this will lower the temperature. When that UVB bulb expires you might want too look into a linier bulb they are way more efficient in spreading the UVB.

As stated above, place some kind of spacer under the sides of the lamp fixture that will not burn or melt. But not directly under the bulb.
