Love what you do and you'll never work a day in your life.

I usually say it's not a job when you enjoy it, and I live by that.

Thats been in my info since I joined here.

i totally agree with that. if you love what you do, than you're pretty much making a living doing a hobby you really enjoy. a job/career is more about just the money being made. its about who you are, unfortunately not many people have personalities, and just do "whatever" cause its easy, or it pays good. when really they hate the job and are miserable every working day.

our breeders and site sponsors do what they love, but it is their job. they dont see it as work. but like all hobbies, sacrificies and hard work is involved, but your pay in the end is worth everything. JMHO

I like the saying " find a way to make money doing something you love so much that you would do it for NO money and you will be truly HAPPY" :)

I hate my job. But im good at it and it pays the bills. lol

I wish i had a job that i couldn't wait to wake up to go to.

Thats the whole point is finding the job/career you want todo and enjoy it ans not see it as work

I plan to be a vet, i love / appreciate animals and to me working with animals wont be much as work.....if you dont mind the badsides to a job then pretty much you like or atleast are ok with what youdo

This i believe to be true and us one of the key things in life to enjoy your life even more so

The horror movie FX I do, if I were to get in the business as an adult I'd get paid alot. Some of the behind the scenes FX'ers get paid more than the actors, since you could have AWESOME makeup and crappy actors, and have a pretty good movie. I get told by some professionals already that I'm really good, especially for not having any training and just starting out being the way that I can make it look pretty darn realistic. Not to toot my own horn or anything. :D ;)

you should really look into cosmetics for college than Karma. those people tell you that you are really good for the little experience you have, not to build you up and give you false hope, but to encourage you to further your hobby and interest it into a career!

make sure you take a lot of good pictures of your work to build a portfolio!

A good friend of mine went to a school for makeup special effects and ended up with a job with the Jim Henson Creature Company! Just go for your dreams no matter what anybody tells you- whoever you are and whereever you come from!

I had a job that paid the bills for 15 yrs- I could live with it only because I worked 6 months a year and had the rest of the year to live my dreams but now that old job is just a back up- My dreams are more important

Look into scholarships, plus any state scholarships you can get. I'm in Florida and here we get a Bright Futures scholarship, plus FASFA and I don't know what else just for having good grades in high school (and then college, obviously.) My school gives me another X because of grades too.

I could even get money for being a Hispanic student, or just a female student. There are organizations out there that love funding education, you just have to find one you fit into. A high school classmate of mine got herself a scholarship from something like the United Asian Lesbian League of America, I swear, and hey, they paid a chunk of her school just because she was a girl and Asian with good grades.

So don't rule out college/higher level education of the picture, there are a thousand and one ways to do it.
