Live Plant Needed San Diego, Local.

Hey guys, I have been fixing up Hughs large cage and currently have a ficus tree in it with a few vines and some fake foliage. I spent all of my Christmas money (oops) on his cage and now am totally freakin' broke. I was wondering if anyone here in the San Diego area has any extra Cham safe plants lying around taking up space they are willing to give to Hugh or I am also willing to pay a small price for one. I went to look at some plants today and they were just a little too pricey for me right now. PM me please! :)

I'm in North Park, 92104.

I bought two for my first adult cage and spent a fortune!! I know it is far, but there are some smoking deals on all kinds of cham friendly plants at the Temecula farmers market. I heard it runs all year on Saturday mornings.

Yeah, that's a little too far for me. I think i'd spend more on gas than I would if I just bought one at Home Depot or something. Thank you for the suggestion. :)

I spent $20 on a 3 foot scheflerra with a huge shiny creamic pot at home depot. I thought it was a steal since the pot looks like it would be $20 by itself. I have like 4 home depots and a 2 lowe's within 5 miles of my house so I'm always bargain hunting LOL

This one I haven't repotted yet. I repotted a hibiscus with plain potting soil but my chams have showed 0% interest in anything near the bottome of their cages so I don't see an issue with it. I'm thinking of picking up a bag of those smooth round pebbles to cover up the soil just in case though I think I might just be wasting money if they never go down there anyways. I'm about to start a new thread with my work in progress adult cages so check out my new plant haha!

Ok, so plain potting soild is ok? It doesn't need to be organic? I mean Hugh doesn't go down to the bottom either and I have rocks on top of the soil just in case. He usually hangs out at the top on his vines. I am getting a couple of Pothos from a fellow forum member/friend so I think i'd need just one more tree and i'd be set. :)

Well, it should be fertilizer free (at least chemical wise) because the plants still have the fertilizer in them. Since chameleons will occasionally accidentally eat a leaf every now and then, they get the fertilizer in the leaf too.

I have some pothos stems that just started rooting. I can ship them in a bubble envelope for $3. Three stems for a dollar. Most of them are already starting to turn into vines.

Yeah I also thought the same... I got my ficus from LLL so didn't have to worry about it. My friend has already re-potted the Pothos he is going to give me so no need to worry about those either.

Thank you for the offer but I think i'll be okay with the 2 Pothos i'll be getting. I'll just need one more Ficus to go in the cage and Hugh will be good. :) I'm thinking of even getting a Schflerra, those are pretty.
