Little white mites....please advise

Hi All,
so last week i noticed little whit specs on a flowering hibiscus.......the pic i had was pretty clear ( ill try to find that pic and post it again ) most people said it looked like aphids and to remove that section or treat with warm soapy water. So i removed the bud. But now i noticed another little collection on a new hibiscus bud, but when i was looking closely and staring for 5 straight minutes, i was suprised to see one of the specs slowly moving. it looks like a super small white mite. My cham has been totally normal and i dont see any on him at all. It seems they only hang out near a budding hibiscus flower. Please tell me what to do!!!! Any info on these little buggers would be helpful. And are they harmful to people in any way, etc. Thanks so much for the help

Thanks, i read your thread. Did anyone mention if mealy bugs are harmful in any other way or to people. ( i have a few kids ) I can remove the plants, but it took s long forthese hibiscus to grow their indoor leaves, so it would be a major let down. I might just replaace with fake stuff.
