Lily has battled and won against Eimeria. Yeah! now last week I notice her plumping a bit. Figured because she was eating more since she is now clean and healthy. On the scale 6 grams weight gain in 8 days....Probably not gaining weight but a new way to stress me out - Gravid?

She has a laying bin in the cage. past three days every time I come home she is at the middle to lower end of her cage. I have been taking her out looking her over but when I put her back in the cage I have been putting her in the laying bin. Tonight I did the same thing and she climbed back to middle to lower.

Lights went out, Put up her black out felt since she is in the living room and I am still up. Now I hear scraping noises. would she dig and lay at night? I am NOT peeking cause I don't want her to stop if she is. If so, is it common for them to dig a little take a break then dig some more, there is short breaks in the scraping sound. What do I do in the morning actually peek behind the curtain or just leave her covered for the day. it will not interfere with her lights and she was fed today so I can skip tomorrow. Thanks for the help

Yes I am very happy with that! I have an amazing Vet with relatives in Australia. Which means Baycox!!!!! A wonderful drug I can not be charged for :D

what about tomorrow am just leave her covered or should I peek and see where she is and then decide. I just want this to go as smoothly as possible. First clutch for both of us with her.

My female beardie has no issues with her laying. actually scratched at my pants while on my lap and then started laying....something that will not happen with a Cham from what I have read

There's no harm in you peeking in to see what she's up to. What you don't want is to o it so often that she feels unsafe and gives up. I peeked in on my female a couple times when she was laying, but it was enough to see her tail still in the laying bin and then I backed off, I just wanted to see if she was still in there. She started digging a Friday at about 11am and finished Saturday at about 11am as well, so they will definitely work all night.

But leave her mostly alone tomorrow, in case she does work on laying tonight/tomorrow.

she was at the top of the cage where she usually is in the morning. She ate a lot less- one cricket and 2 small silkworms. Then she moved to the lower end. I covered her. Looking in the bin she filled in my start holes...and started on her one. she is still plump. could she be practicing or do they only dig lay done?

Yes Linda they will often dig a practice holes. I do check on my girls from time to time when digging and laying just to make sure they are ok. I wouldn't want the sand to cave in on them and me not be there to get them out.

Thanks Jannb. I am off today luckily so I will be able to listen a lot to the cage. When I covered her I put the slit to where I can see but a plant is also in line with it. One question though- Were Chams put on Earth to stress their owners?

I hope when this is over she gives me at least a month or two without any issues :)
