Lights

Is the Sun Glo Neodymium Dayligh spot a good one for Panther Chameleons  And what about a Blue Night Glo for night time because I like to keep my house cold in the summer time. both bulb are may be Exo- Terra

I don't use any form of heat at night unless it drops below 60 degrees for my panther. I don't recommend using a two in one bulb unless you have a UVB meter because the output can be high.

If you use a linear tube UVB bulb, repti sun 5.0, and just a regular incandescent house bulb, I use 60 watts about 3 inches from the top of the cages to get the temps I want, in one of those $3 metal clamp light dome things from home depot it is better because the cham can get UVB without getting heat. Sometimes they want to be cooler and still get their uvb. and if you put the heat light at one end of the tube bulb you still get eh same combined effect except the cham can get UVB away from the heat if it wants. I think it makes it a little easier on the cham, probably a little more expensive for you but you'll stop keeping track of how much yo spend on needed and just little extra things for your chams in no time. When my tally passed $2000 I stopped counting, it made me feel like i was wasting money when I knew I wasn't so i just don't keep count any more.
