Lights and Plants (almost) Set Up

I figured out all my previous lighting issues and got a fixture and wired it myself. i'm still going to try to find a cover for it to reflect light back in since its completely open and just sitting on the top of the terrarium. my lights are:
-reptisun 5.0 36 inch
-2x 6500k 36 inch bulbs for plants
-60w incandescent bulb in 8 inch dome fixture (does it matter if the bulb is frosted?)

and for my plants, i spent several hours in my local nersery talking to everybody there and we concluded that for my needs, and what i like aesthetically, i should go with schefflera (larger leaf one, not many small bushy leaves) and hoya. they showed me that the hoya bruises so i will drip water on the schefflera.

here's where my questions come in.
1. the hoya came planted in coco fiber (or so i've been told) and theres no way for me to get at that without lifting the plant out of its pot. the plant is DENSE. does it need to be repotted?
2. the schefflera is about 24 inches in height after i did some trimming and my exo terra is 18x18x24. a few leaves tough the top screen. is this going to be a problem?
3. i plan on replacing the soil in the schefflera, but the organic soil i bought has fertilizer (white pellets) even though the bag it claims all natural and organic. can i just cover it with a plant mesh so the cham cant reach it? i'm planning on a panther so does it really matter all that much?
4. does the schefflera need to go in a new pot? the one it came in is roughly 5x5 inches
5. did i miss anything with the lighting or does that seem good?

as a side note, i dont have any way of posting pictures. i might be able to borrow one if you guys want to see my setup

also, sorry for the wall of text

i've had the cage fully set up and running as if i have the cham. the top most leaves on the schefflera closest to the lights are turning brown. is this a bad sign? should i just snip them off or what?

cage temps if it matters are between 72-75ish at the bottom and 75-82ish at the top. the terrarium had to be moved to my bedroom, which is warmest room in the house by far (6-8 celcius warmer than the living room on most days, warmer yet when considering the basement) so i'm not turning on the heat bulb until i get it in the basement when renos are done.
