For my first setup I picked up the Solar Glo combo bulb that produces both UVB and UVA light. I just want to make sure that this is ok for now or if I should change to something more known? I just recently picked up a veiled chameleon from a pet store chain and I am unsure of its age and sex. The site told me they had it for at least 3 months but the size is troublesome for that age. It looks like there are spurs on the feet but the size is very hard to tell. My main question is about the light source. Thanks.

The solar glo mercury vapor lamp is fine, but you must tune it to your setup. You are looking for 20-25 uw/cm2 mid cage.

And the little guys dont put on a lot of weight per month till 6-9 months. At which point they start eating you out of house at home.
