Lighting times

Is it ok to have 13-13.5 hours of lights on to 10.5-11 hours off? Or does it have to be 12 on 12 off? I'm setting up a timer for the lighting in my enclosure and need some advice

During the summer I usually have my lights on for 13 hours to follow the sun and then in the winter I cut them back a little.

Exactly! I go with sunup sundown.

I'm was doing approx 7am-8:30pm before the timer so I'll set the timer 7am-8:15pm

I follow the sun as well (because they're going to go to sleep or wake up with the sun anyway, so no point in having the lights on when no one is using them) so in summer the hours are much longer and then in winter a lot shorter.
