Lighting Question

Hey everyone,
Been reading the boards for a few weeks now, and have found a plethora of information that I didn't previously know. I currently have a coiled UVB bulb that everyone seems to dislike for a number of reasons, so I was hoping to pick up something new. I was picking up crickets this afternoon when I noticed a bulb and fixture and petsmart on clearance for $15.00. I was just wondering if anyone had ever heard of the Zilla Mini Reptile Fixture, and whether or not it's any good. If not, I remember reading something about the repti-sun 5.0 being a wise choice, but correct me if I am wrong.

EDIT - http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3039689 is the link for the light.

Thanks in advance,
Ryan and Jess

For veiled, panther, and jackson, I recommend using Reptisun 5.0 LINEAR tube like this one:

I hope you are not getting it at Petsmart or Petco, unless if you want to pay 44 dollars for 12 dollars worth of a tube (lllreptile.com).

Aw no, I don't shop at Petsmart or Petco unless I'm in dire need of something. I just didn't feel like driving 40 minutes to the reptile shop in 95 degree weather (my AC is dead) :( The Petsmart that my girlfriend and I visit occasionally for dog supplies has a chameleon right now that looks terrible. Shes almost full grown in an extremely tiny glass cage with no where to hide, and a giant waterfall with dead bugs floating in it. I wish I had extra money to buy here, but then they'd simply purchase another... Anyways, I'll have to post some pics later of our new little veileds Gumby and Edgar.

You're probably right. It doesnt help to buy the doomed ones, as it just dooms another faster. The most you can do is suggest changes, or offer to take it for free in order to save its life.
