Hello All,

I will be getting a 24x24x48 enclosure soon. Do you think the ReptiSun T5 HO 5.0 Hood is sufficient or should I get the 10.0 one. Thanks for any replies in advance.

Some say the 10.0 are too strong for babies, others say they are ok. If it is an adult or juvenile then for sure it is ok. I personally use the 5.0's.

I use the 10.0 for all of my chams 3 months and older, and the 5.0 for any cham less than 3 months. No real reason, jus 'cus.

You really have to see what works for you. Remember that the screen will block a lot of the UVB and in a 48" cage, the 5.0 will not penetrate very far into it.

I recommend getting the 48 inch tube style Reptisun. As long as it's not a baby the 10 or 5.0 would work. I like the long one because it covers more area.
